About Haworth

Real Ales

Real ales

Bring your boots

I am a fan of real ales  and Haworth has plenty to offer, Haworth steam brewery is worth a visit. Timothy Taylors are based in Keighley and Copper Dragon in Skipton. Take a walk to the top of Main Street and start at the Sun Inn. Just try to get back to The Town House without visiting less than seven public houses that sell real ale.

Guided Walks with Bronte Adventures at Haworth Moor

Escape To The Moors - Every Saturday!

Book a 5 miles (8km) mile guided walk across Haworth Moor to all key Brontë landmarks and beauty spots.

You'll walk in the footsteps of the Brontës and explore the wild Yorkshire moors, visiting Brontë Waterfall, Top Withens (Wuthering Heights), Alcomden Stones and Ponden Kirk (The Fairy Cave), returning to Haworth via the village of Stanbury. Depending on the weather, we may go further off the main paths but this will be discussed with you.

There's plenty of rest points and time to enjoy the stunning views and to take photographs and along the route you'll learn about local places of interest and hear stories of local folk-lore.

It will be a leisurely pace and a lovely way to spend the morning. You'll be back in time for a hearty cafe/pub lunch (not included) and the afternoon to browse the many shops for a well-deserved treat!

For your peace of mind, Bronte Adventures is "We're Good To Go" accredited by Visit England and the walk has been risk assessed, specifically relating to COVID-19. Your guide, David, also has a Wilderness 1st Aid Certificate (accredited by the Fell Runners Association) and will be carrying a 1st aid kit and other appropriate safety equipment.

Left on Jul 29, 2020 for a stay in Jul 2020 Amazing 3 night stay to visit family. The house has everything and more that you could possibly need. The decor is beautiful and it really feels like home. A welcome hamper was a really nice touch. It was lovely to sit in the patio area and eat lunch and parking spaces were great too. We had some lovely walks to nearby pubs and shops on the cobbled streets, only a 10 minute walk through a beautiful park. Richard was very friendly when we spoke on the phone and is very knowledgeable about the area. All in all, we would highly recommend this property and will be back again soon.

Spent a lovely weekend at the Town House, great house with everything you need, well stocked kitchen and a lovely welcoming basket packed with all the essentials. Very clean and 4 good size bedrooms, 3 double and 1 single. High quality bed linens and comfy beds. Decorated to a high spec, would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable break away. Central to a number of nearby towns and the High Street definitely worth the walk up the hill.
